Galleries in Springfield and Branson
Springfield's art community continues to grow, and art lovers can find the work of many emerging and established artists in a comprehensive selection of media. Annual art festivals showcase the works of artists from the Ozarks and beyond. The monthly downtown First Friday Art Walk gives you a chance to view art and rub elbows with locals.
The city has a modestly-sized but excellent art museum, and downtown galleries and antique shops display intriguing objets d'art, prints and paintings. Other art venues are scattered all around the city and in neighboring towns.
Branson isn't just about the performing arts. Numerous galleries and shops showcase the works of fine artists, folk artists, and artisans in many media. Don't miss the side trips to nearby towns of the Ozarks, where more very interesting art awaits you.
